The Verandah Hotel & Lounge in Udaipur is a boutique hotel, picturesquely located at the entrance of the old city. Conveniently situated at the end of the road leading to the lake and protected by its quiet and tranquil environment, it is a relaxed haven to come home to. The Verandah Hotel is the fruit of an association between Jaïdeep and Nitika Singh Candela, both natives of Udaipur, and Dominique Jean-Lavabre, of French origin, who was enthralled by India and made it his adopted country. Their dream was to create a haven out of a traditional space without compromising on modern comforts. In Udaipur we had a prodigious chance, a wonderful location, noble materials such as stone and marble, an abundance of water, incredible natural light, and two islands in front of the hotel which are bird reserves. The architecture of the hotel speaks the language of Indian art and decorative style through its galleries with columns and moucharabiehs. Sanjeev Gupte the architect, and Alex and Sangeeta Davis, the interior designers, drew their inspiration from traditional Indian architecture, but have translated this inspiration into an unusual and original medium.
 

Accommodation

All rooms overlook the lake and have been designed in a way to allow the beautiful light of the lake seep inside creating a unique experience for our guests. Each room has a private balcony that allows you to spend some quiet relaxed moments and give time a break.For your total comfort and complete convenience, all our rooms are air conditioned, equipped with silent minibar fridge, tea and coffee station, telephone, built in international plugs and Wireless Internet (LCD flat panel TV’s and satellite television in short future).
